2025 Jakarta MAG All-Around Scores Unveiled :
Difficulty, Execution, and the Gymnastics Data That Matter

EDITOR’S NOTE

All data and scoring information based on the documents released by the official Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique‘s website (FIG)

Hashimoto Daiki (JPN) achieved the prestigious title of All-Around World Champion on three consecutive occasions (2022, 2023, and 2025) and surpassed the 85.000 threshold, which appears to be the highest total score in the All-Around for this season. With the recent modifications to the Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Code of Points, the difficulty values have experienced a reduction relative to the preceding Olympic cycle. As for Oka Shinnosuke (JPN), despite a notable increase in his total score between the Qualification Round and the All-Around final, it proved insufficient for him to attain a podium finish. An a back injury probably didn’t help…

Zhang Boheng (CHN) secured a silver medal once more, following his achievements at the 2022 World Championships and the 2024 Olympics, despite enhancing his overall score by more than two points. Noe Seifert (SUI) demonstrated his consistent performance throughout the qualifications and earned a bronze medal, marking the first occasion in 75 years that a Swiss male gymnast has medaled in the All-Around at the World Championships. Following some unfortunate outcomes at the 2025 European Championships, this competition is a considerable success for the Swiss gymnast.

The 2025 Jakarta MAG All-Around proved to be quite captivating; following a considerable number of falls, predominantly on the floor, during the qualifications, coupled with the unexpected 12th place finish in QX for the reigning Olympic Champion Oka Shinnosuke, and the return of the Russian gymnasts, the competition landscape was notably more open.
