2026 MAG World Cup Series Ranking
2026 Men’s Artistic Gymnastics World Cup Series Overview

Points Allocation & Ranking System
Gymnasts’ placements at each World Cup gives them ranking points. The higher the placement, the greater the number of ranking points awarded to the gymnast. Considering the (now) 3 best performances of each participant, the gymnast with the highest aggregate of points is declared the champion and receives a bonus monetary award (see list below)
A total of eight gymnasts per apparatus (i.e., 48 male athletes overall) will have the opportunity to qualify for the 2026 World Championships in Rotterdam. Several criteria are established for selection, and the rankings outlined below are provisional: gymnasts representing nations qualifying for Rotterdam through the 2026 Continental Championships will not be eligible. Consequently, the rankings will be revised following each of the five continental competitions.
The scores of gymnasts who do not meet eligibility requirements will be redistributed to the subsequent gymnasts in line.
Initially, there were six World Cups planned in the series; however, the Doha edition was cancelled due to the situation in the Middle East. Consequently, the Osijek World Cup became the final event in this series. The original points allocation system established by World Gymnastics took into account the top four total scores; it has now been revised to consider only the three highest totals for ranking purposes by apparatus.

The update to the 2026 MAG World Cup Series Ranking, subsequent to the Osijek World Cup, clarifies the roster of gymnasts who can qualify for Rotterdam; however, it is anticipated that athletes ranked lower are likely to attain elevated rankings upon the conclusion of the Continental Championships. Remember that a maximum of 2 gymnasts per country per apparatus can qualify for Worlds.
It would be premature to make predictions based solely on the countries that traditionally qualify for the World Championships, such as Japan, China, Great Britain. However, in the case of the Parallel Bars, the top eight positions are occupied by two Japanese gymnasts and one Chinese gymnast, which suggests a potential opportunity for other competitors ranked lower.
Also, apparatus specialists can participate in the Continental Championships as All-Around gymnasts to possibly qualify for Rotterdam. If they qualify, their names will be removed from the 2026 MAG World Cup Series ranking, and their quota places will be reallocated.
Gymnasts who competed on several apparatus and who ranked high enough to be eligible for a spot to Rotterdam, will have their names removed from the rankings of the apparatus where the ranked lower.
