High Bar at the 2024 Olympics: Main Contenders

Which gymnasts are expected to participate in the High Bar final at the Paris Olympics? At the Tokyo Games, four gymnasts encountered falls during their routines, with two gymnasts falling twice. The gap between the 1st and 8th gymnasts in the qualifications was 0.633, expanding to 3.8 in the final. The average qualification score amounted to 14.587, decreasing to 13.378 in the final.

Four out of the eight finalists, including the gold and silver medalists, are poised for a return to competition. Notably, the highest difficulty score achieved in 2024 thus far is 6.8, attained by Angel Barajas of Colombia and Tang Chia-hung of Taiwan, who has indisputably dominated all international competitions since the onset of the year.
