Gymnast interview: Benjamin Osberger was born in a family of gymnasts in the East of France and started artistic gymnastics when he was 3 years old. Since then he’s almost become a permanent participant at all national meets and since 2021, he’s also been a regular in international competitions. He was twice the National All Around Champion : in 2019 as a Junior and in 2023 as a Senior. He also won silver on Floor and gold on Pommel Horse at the latest Nationals.

He’s now mostly a Floor and Pommel Horse specialist and competed in the PH final at the 2022 Euros in Munich and in the Floor Exercise final at the World Championships in Liverpool In 2022 (he was the first reserve for the Floor final, and could compete after Zhang Boheng withdrew).

Each time, he finished in a very frustrating 4th position – yet with the highest execution scores. He also qualified in the Floor final at the 2023 Euros. Known for his great lines and ability to twist in all directions, Benjamin Osberger is now a major player in men’s gymnastics.
